The above chart measures quartile finish in each tournament. In a sixteen player event, a player finishing in the top four would be in Quartile 1, fifth to eighth Quartile 2, ninth to twelfth in Quartile 3 and thirteenth to sixteenth in Quartile 4.

The nutritional value of the Royal George’s ice cream sundaes must have been the brain food that helped Pete The Coach Woodcock to win Phoenix Pub Poker’s most popular league. Average attendance was over 20 players per event. Pete also showed that one can win a league without a tournament victory, but through consistent placings, in his case, five second places in his 14 events. That’s a tall order in player fields of this size. He also was the league’s most prolific assassin with 22 kills knotched on his gun.

Two wins for Malcolm Butcher, Sam Oversock Beaumont and Greg The Buddha Harrington are worthy of mention, as is Sam’s highest player rating.

We are looking forward to some great poker at this venue in the Winter Season and look forward to welcoming everyone to our final on Sunday January 19, 2014.
